STEPHANIE
SAVAGE
Born in 1988, Stephanie Savage really began to form her love of singing and performing around the age of five years and, from that time, has spent most of her young life exploring the world of music and theatre. Whether it is in front of family and friends at private gatherings or on stage at talent showcases Stephanie has made a home for herself on the stage and enjoys the atmosphere and excitement created while entertaining an audience.
Stephanie, a student of the Victoria School of Performing & Visual Arts, continued to hone her talent and by the age of 10 made the move towards the competitive arena. Since 1997, Stephanie’s impressive showings earned her accolades from adjudicators in every competition she’d graced. From the Edmonton Federation Talent Shows and the Alberta College Festivals to the acclaimed Country Vocal Spotlight and numerous Klondike Days Talent Explosion appearances, Stephanie achieved many top honour medals for her performances. She continues to light up adjudicators, peers and audiences alike with her obvious comfort of the stage as well as her expressive vocals.
A love of musical theatre is very apparent in Stephanie’s activities as well. Over the last few years, she has enjoyed involving herself with theatre production groups such as Theatre Zocalo, Stage Polaris, Edmonton Musical Theatre and St. Albert Children’s Theatre. In the year 2000 Stephanie had the opportunity to perform at the world-renowned Edmonton Fringe Theatre Festival as part of the Darling Diva’s Musical Review, much to the delight and appreciation of many die-hard Fringe-goers. In 2001, Stephanie enjoyed entertaining audiences as part of Victoria School’s production of “The Wizard of Oz.” and in 2002, Stephanie was delighted to perform once again in front of Sold Out audiences in the Victoria Schools performance of the musical “Oliver.” In 2002, Stephanie participated with the Cast of the Musical “Footloose” which was performed at the Arden Theatre. In May, 2003, as part of the cast of the St. Albert Children’s Festival, Stephanie entertained audiences in the performance “Pinocchio”. Just recently Stephanie Savage was presented with the Daphne Surry award for best acting in a musical theatre performance. Stephanie, in 2003 worked with St. Albert Childrens Theatre in the production of “Bye Bye Birdie” . In 2004-2005 Stephanie worked on "Honk" and " Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs". Stephanie just frinished perfoming in the production "Beauty and the Beast" with the St. Albert Childrens Theatre. She is currently working on her 7th production "Emperor" with the Childrens Theatre, which is to be perfomed at the 2006 Childrens Festival in St. Albert. Whether it is musical theatre, country, pop music or even folk, Stephanie’s displays a passion for singing and performing that is second to none.
As Stephanie Savage continues to develop her talent and watch her dreams grow as an entertainer, she is able to keep one well-grounded foot to the floor while the other takes one more step towards the spotlight.
